People living with hidden disabilities often face negative issues from others due to a lack of understanding. There is still the expectation that if we can't see anything wrong with someone, then that means there isn't anything wrong with them. Of course, nothing can be further from the truth! Mental health, chronic pain, hearing and sight impairments, there are so many invisible ailments around so carrying an awareness card can really help. It identifies that you have an illness or disability and by sharing what that is, for example, Autism, it can alleviate tensions as the person reading the card will know that you might need a little space or time to communicate.
But what if you don't want to be shouting out what is wrong with you to strangers? Well that is where these unnamed hidden disability awareness cards are needed. They show that the holder might need a little help and understanding without actually going into particulars. By keeping a little privacy and being discreet, these cards still show that you might need additional support.
They are credit card sized so will fit easily into a purse or wallet, alternatively you can have them on display via a lanyard or card clip. They are personalised with the holders name shown on the front and two emergency contacts on the back of the card.
We design all of the ID cards ourselves so if you want any of the wording changed then that's not an issue. You can either leave a note in the box when you purchase or alternatively, pop a message over via the contact tab and lets work out a new card together. Our tag line is Every Card Imaginable for a reason!
